Greetings,
I read the article below (link provided) today in the San Francisco Chronicle. Very interesting piece about immigration court and is yet another example of how we need to streamline the process. I think you will find it very topical to what we have been discussing in class.
See you tomorrow.

Hello Prof. Fraga,
ReplyDeleteI am having a bout of tonsilitis ad have been feverish all evening. At 4:25 am I a still battling it. I do not think that I should travel today. I know that I am missing something grade dependent today but I'm not sure that I would make it. If there is anything that I can do to preserve my grade I am willing to do it. If not, I will take the hit. I just won't be in today.
Thank you,
Pain in the neck,
Sherri
I read the article and it saddens me. I don't know how to help these people. It would seem that they are the "losers" in our system. I am familiar with the challenges of permanent status. I helped my former husband secure his and his children's green cards. They were white, middle classed and had some means and it was a bear to do. It took years and that was in the 80's pre- 911.
